Little things are bothering me. Those things that are so petty that you can only complain to certain people. Ali understands. We have an understanding where we can be as shallow or petty as we need to be to get out those frustrations. It's a wonderful outlet. With other people, either they are friends with the person or they just won't understand and will think you are a horrible person.

I'm wondering what happened to a few people I don't talk to much anymore. I can't help but think you hate me;) Actually, not really. I'm more prone to make myself believe that either a) it's too hard to be around me because you can't hold yourself back b) your new girlfriend has forbade you from talking to me or c) you've realized I won't say yes. Haha, Sort of kidding on those. If you've just read that, please forget it.

I think a pet peeve is people being unnecessarily loud. I really can't stand it. Especially since I'm usually the opposite. And actually, I think I am the opposite because I see how annoying loud people are. I feel the same way about people who talk too much. Drives me insane.

I'm actually pretty excited to work tomorrow. It's with Danielle which is always fun and a shift where I don't have to open or close which is GREAT. I wonder if I can dress up for Halloween;) I picked up the extra shift today and it's just like me to think that I'm doing the company a favor so I should receive one in return, haha.

I'm itching to have a nite out on the town with Vanessa and Julianne...however, on separate nites;) Vanessa and I have this uncanny ability to meet the strangest characters while out and Julianne and I always end up playing pool somewhere and I pretty much always get free drinks. With the number of birthdays I've had up in Baltimore I should be about 30. But now she has hew new beau so we'll see how nites out are now;) I need an obligatory hot guy to take places when I need to. Like weddings and bah mitzvahs (How is that spelled?) and to bars with my friend's who have significant others. Just kidding really, I'm a player, haha. But I do have a candidate in mind for "hot guy"...

XO,
Scarlet

For reasons I can not explain I ended up at Big Lots today, a store I had vowed to never visit. I ended up buying 2 frames, a movie, and a pack of jewel cd cases. After ringing up my purchases I realized my license and debit card are still in my pants from last nite! So I wrote a check and put all my pertinant information on it but she still asked to see an ID. And when I told her I did not have one she just looked at me so I asked if there was anything else acceptable. She said, "Anything with your picture on it?" like I was writing a check for $3000 and she had to make sure it was legit. So I showed her my MWC ID which, ta da! has my picture. OK, So then she says, "No, This is from 1980. I don't think so" hahah...at first I didn't realize what she was talking about and then exclaimed, "That's my birthday!" I mean, come on...do I look over 40? Because I'm obviously about 18 in the picture and am 23 now....Weird. Anyway, She still acted like she was totally breaking the rules for me and it sort of made me wish my check was fake or something. Stupid woman.
I also went to DSW Shoes and was once again disappointed as nothing fit!!!!!! I did see some cool Pumas there but they weren't reduced in price enough=/ Bust.
I'm really tired, I'm going to go read some magazines on my bed. Woop.

I want to get to the point where I give job interviews and my interviews will be awesome. I will not ask such questions as, "What is customer service to you?" and "Give me a specific exampled of *fill in the blank*". I will say, "Favorite color?" "Second favorite color?" "favorite class ever?" "last book you read?" "45X15" "Say the alphabet backwards".

Green peppers are the bane of my existance.
I'm serious. They plague the foods I enjoy: spaghetti sauce...salsa...chili...pizza. Ever tried to just take off the green pepper from a piece of pizza? You may as well eat the nasty little green thing because by then the taste has permeated throughout the cheese. It's digusting. And spaghetti sauce? Why can't a person just enjoy the taste of the tomatoes, it's enough for me. Don't get my started on salsa and it's CHUNKS of green peppers that always wind up being the bottom third of the jar once I've eaten the good parts. There has been one time in my life when I ate a raw green pepper that did not make me hurl and that is when Julianne made me dinner one nite. However, I think the circumstances were outstanding seeing as how I probably had not eaten all day and was living on only free chips and salsa (sans green peppers thank you very much) from Tias Happy Hour. So yes, this rare occurrance when I almost enjoyed the taste of the green pepper is a fluke, I assure you. Thanks for listening, and next food gripe: sour cream. Stay tuned...

I haven't talked to you since like, May or something insane. Weird.

I don't think the UPS man loves me. I certainly do not love him now. I just thought that he'd be here at about 1 so I didn't bring a lunch or anything. Now I'm going on 2 Red Bulls and a cookie. Soon I'm going to start running laps around the store. Wouldn't that be a site. I'm reading my Photographic magazine at the moment and learning how to take good pictures of sunsets. I want to enter a photography contest, that would be fun. Amateur, of course.

Oh, GREAT NEWS: The UPS man came. I had to sign the weird computer like clipboard thing that made me look like I don't know how to write.

MUhahhahha, I have talents. (no, not writing) Manipulation:)

S

Oh, Mr. UPS man, Please come visit me and bring me lovely packages.

So, Last nite was Sunday (duh) and Sunday means American Dreams and Alias. Now, I'm recently addicted to this website that summarizes shows and seeing as how I have nowhere else to go as I wait and nothing constructive to do, I'm going to do a little recap (from memory, Lord help us) of last nite. Here goes:

American Dreams:

The times they are a changin'. Haha. Yeah so, JJ's now in the Marines and is trying to get squad leader and is up against this jackass guy who obviously ends up getting because he's a bully and cheats and steals this other guys shooting thing. So, JJ, being all about right and wrong lets this guy know he knows and that it's obvious it's "eating away at him"...Meanwhile, squad leader dude is going to make life miserable for JJ, more miserable than basic training must be already. My observation about this new plot of having JJ in the Marines is that everyone now looks alike.
Will must have exceeded his avaiable hours to work because he wasn't in the episode at all...however, he was mentioned a whole lot. Mom heard about a new operation that could help help his "polio leg" and gets this med student to help her after she's told the library is for "medical students only" blah blah. Yeah so she reads (could women READ back then? ha) and then takes her findings to Jack (the dad who seems like he should just be misunderstood like the Wonder Years dad but actually is sort of just a jerk sometimes). Anyway, Dad says no. Mom says yes, *fight*.
Patty, who is hilarious because she's so obnoxious, is a huge nerd and her teachers decide to move her up to dum dum DUMMMMM....9th grade which will put her in the same school as Meg. Oh, the embarassment. The girl looks like she's about 11...I was thinking she was in 6th grade at the most. Meg is not happy about having her sister at her school and is very mean to Patty, I'm hoping they start a girl fight one time.
So, the basis of the show is how Meg dances on Bandstand and the musical guests are always a big deal. So you KNOW Meg's going to be allowed to dance on the show again. I missed the premiere so I don't know what happened to the original producer dOOd but yeah, now he's British or something. To make a long story short, Dad lets Meg dance again after he sees how much it means to her and also tells her not to let people tell her it's dumb (boyfriend)....Next scene: breaks up with boyfriend.
That's about it. Musical guest was Monica.

Alias:

Mmmm, Best. Show. Ever.
Sydney is on a quest to find out "who took the last 2 years of her life"....and also the bottom few inches of her hair because it's shroter this season and oddly enough, makes her look younger rather than the 2 years older. But whatever, details. So, yeah to make another long story short, the CIA with the NSC decide to trade Sark (hott) for 1 of their own (2 were taken, but one, ahem, didn't exactly survive. They used his head with a note in his mouth to send a message). The trade gets messed up though when the stupid NSC guy sends in more CIA dOOds to get the bad guys which of course isn't going to work and most end up dead. Plus, they take Sark AND the CIA guy-good job NSC. Sydney's pissed. And while the NSC guy is in the pisser (harhar) she gives him a piece of her mind. Later in the show we find out he's decided to go back to Washington....Syd thinks she won but oh no, guess who he brings in as his replacement: Vaughn's wife! Craziness. This should be fun. Especially since I bet there will be some time when Vaughn has to save one of them or something and chooses Sydney, something to that effect.
Meanwhile, Jack (dad) is still trying to find out the 2 year mystery and gets in touch with mom via their previously set up method of secret communication...get this: instant messaging-Awesome! So yeah, they chat and say they miss each other with is a big step with those two and I don't understand how it can be sooooo secretive to be IMing on a laptop in his car. I mean, they mention names and stuff but whatever. Who am I to know what the (fake) CIA can and cannot find out.
Also, Vaugh is back at the CIA. He also says some stuff about her "death" (and how can they keep saying, "When you died" "Your ashes"...Shouldn't they be considerate and say, "When we thought you died" "The ashes of the poor unfortunate soul who was used to confuse us into thinking it was YOU who died" details details) and how it almost killed him but also, (BUT) he's glad he moved on-OUCH. We all know they'll get back together. Like Pacey and Joey, Ross and Rachel (fingers crossed), Angela and Jordan (oh wait, crap)...
I think that's all...and I'm obviously leaving out a lot.

XO,
Scarlet

Livejournal has failed to post my last two entries. How rude!

It's so late (2am) and I am not tired at all. The wild cherry pepsi I purchased earlier hasn't helped. I got to wear a long sleeved shirt and take my jacket earlier, I was elated. My one and only thing I miss when the weather gets colder is that I can't wear flip flops anymore. And this is especially distressing this year as I really need some new shoes. I went to DSW the other day looking for some and I found ones I like but much to my disapointment none of them fit correctly which led me to the awful thought that my feet are longer! But, I'm fairly certain it's just bc I haven't worn real shoes in like 3 months. I also wish I could take like an inch and a half off my height sometimes (and only sometimes) so I could wear some shoes that aren't completely flat. Or, maybe I just need to find taller friends.
Ok, I just put Cruel Intentions on since there's nothing good on tv. If I were smart I'd put on a long movie and fall asleep to it or read more or try the slow breathing trick but no, I'd rather stay up half the nite;) Night is superior to day though so it makes sense.
I think that tomorrow I'm going to go for a really long walk with the objective of taking pictures with my digital camera. I was looking at this LJ Community for photography and I got some good ideas. And that is the cool thing about a digital camera is that you can try new things and not have to spend money on film and developing. I used to be so against them bc I love actual prints but now I have the Photosmart printer and the luxury of taking 100s of pcitures a day if I want to so I've changed my tune. It's also a lot easier to carry a small digital camera around rather than a big 35mm one.
I really need to get back to NYC soon. I see it on shows and movies and I actually get excited. Is that normal? To get excited about a city? THe next time I go will most likely be with my mom and I really want to go for like 3 or 4 days. I want to go shopping in Soho and also be able to try to go to some show tapings. Plus, my mom and I will need to hit the town for a few nites to party it up!
Ok, Still not tired. 35 minutes later. But I'm done typing this.
Goodnite Irene!
