I've been up since 6AM bc we had our makeup swim meet this morning. It went smoothly although we lost...we're used to it, since at least 1994 we've only won once (note: it was during one of my coaching years, hehe). And it's not bc we dont have good swimmers, we do. It's just that we're way too small, we can't get the maximum number of points we can. Anyway, then I had to work all day from 12 til 7....Boy am I beat. Tomorrow I work 11-6 then Monday Dad and I are going to the VCU orientation. I wish my potential rommate(s) would write me back. It's really insensitive not to.


My back is KILLING me, like it started as a muscle thing where stretchig helped, but now it hurts more often and its a different kind of pain:(

Saw Jets To Brazil last nite, very good. I love them. It was about 432949320480932483092432 degrees in Allet Katz. Saw Jesse and Jobeth's new apartment, I like it. I need one of those things too. Had my last bass lesson tonite, it went really well, ironically seeing as how I am stopping bc I have no time to practice. Have a swim meet tomorrow, I have a lot of work to get done for it:( But I'm super tired since I didn't get much sleep last nite. I'm gonna go work on that now.

One month til you're old Jules.
I'm in a bad mood. I don't feel good, I've been yelled at and I'm tired from working all day. I can't even get into a fight the right way bc I feel bad saying mean things. It's so very frustrating. Ali and I are going to Kings Dominion tomorrow though, woohoo! I wouldn't be able to stand being in this house anyway. Ugh, I really need a day off to go find an apt.....NOW! I'd just like to point out that it's sort of hard to have my room be perfect when I have a lot of stuff that I will be needed when I finally get the hell out of here. It makes no sense to put things in the attic that I will be needed in two months. And who the hell cares if I have a crate of music books on my floor? Is the world going to stop because of this? I think not. I have about 3 square feet of moving space in my room and I can't even get to my closet comfortably. And you know what? Maybe if I didnt work 12 hours everyday I'd be able to get things all put away but even so, its so ridiculous to waste energy worrying about it. AHHHHH!!!!!!!
I have to go write out the meet cards for swim team:(

I had my first ever "save" today at work. details later. i also had my lesson in fred, next week will be my last one, its too hard to get the time off and i NEVER have any time to practice so its basically a waste to go unprepared. Tomorrow is our first meet, i think i'm prepared, i just hope the kids are too.
Oh I'm so tired. Must get apt. Must make money. Must rock.

I'm so exhausted right now. Today I was at the pool working from 9AM until 9PM....tomorrow i'll be there for practice 9-11:30 then work 11-5 but then...then, we have our "First Annual Mock Meet" which is going to take all the energy out of me I think. I've made up relays so everyone gets to be in one, but of course that means that then, if just one person doesn't show they'll get messed up. But I have some volunteers to fill in spots if I need them. Then Wednesday is an easy day but then Thursday will be super long bc we have our first meet against Culpeper Rec Club which is the wicked good team that wins the league championship every year. Oh well, we're used to losing;) We're a really small team though. We have about 50 swimmers compared to most teams with about 100.
Anyway, I think Ali and I are going to Kings Dominin on Sunday, woohooo! We'd rather go on a weekday but I work about every day and practice is every morning, blah.
What else...I'm reading Ali's book "The Perks of Being A Wallflower", its good.

You know, I thought of a lot of stuff I wanted to blog about before and now I forgot. Let's see...
This past weekend I worked and bought a soccer ball. Oh, and I also have a new admirer at the pool, hehe. And my brother is coming to the 4th of July Shindig! And Ali and I are getting matching tattoos someday.

Monster Blog Time: (this is for my own memories as well as your entertainment, hehe)
Thursday 12:30- Anna and I leave Fredericksburg with a trip of about 300 miles ahead of us. It was a pretty good trip except for the rain in PA and that damn PA turnpike-walls of death if you ask me.
Thursday 5:30- reach Pittsburgh, can bareyl see the skyline thru the fog;) Get a little turned around as mapquest sucks at life and tries to have us turn onto a one-way road. erg.
Thursday 6:00- Have parked in a garage and are walking to the crosswalk when I spot Conrad. *sigh* Anna gets his attentionand he waits for us to cross:) We chat for a minute or two and he says he'll put us on the guest list- he's SO nice. It was funny because the same entrance to the club (which was on the second floor) was a tanning salon, haha. And I kept imagining Neil walking out of there all tanned and ready to play. Well, we did see Jason as he was walking down the stairs and someone recognized him (yeah its funny how noone really realized it was them:) and said hi and he said hi in passing and then Anna said "Hey Jason!" and he did the same "hi" then realized it was us and stopped and talked to us about his broken rib.
Eventually we get up into the club and it's a good thing we got on the guest list bc we got to go ahead of the non ticket holders and get a spot up front. The Secret Machines were good, just based on their original set up (piano and drums in front facing each other!) I knew they'd be inventive and interesting. They played for about 30 minutes and I enjoyed it but I was so excited for Trail of Dead and the boys were over on the side watching TSM and that made me even more excited.
We were on Neil's side this time which is stage right maybe? I never understand that...facing the stage we were on the left. Whatever. It was nice to be on the opposite side and I'm glad we weren't in the middle because that is where the lame-os were who started MOSHING during Another Morning Stoner. I'm glad people are hearing the single but puhlease-don't make me break out my incredible snobbiness and hate you. (Hey, at least I realize I am incredibly snobby where TOD is concerned=) Anyway, the set was amazing, as usual, and basically I'd be happy hearing anything they played. We really wanted to hear Days of Being Wild but that's ok, there *will* be another opportunity. I was a little worried the show would be more subdued because of Jason's hurt ribs but he must have been doped up good bc they didn't hold back at all! At the end Neil's amp fell on him and then he slipped and fell-he's always really into getting feedback. And I had never realized that he records their extra sounds right before the show, so they're always different which is cool. I decided I need to get an amp ASAP. Oh and Jason must have thought the crowd was as hot as they were because he definitely poured water on those up front (mainly me and Anna-we both had our cameras out, scary) and I heard later that the second bottle he threw bounced off of someone and fell on the lighting board! whoa. There were some annoying guys who ran up on stage after the guys had destroyed the drum set and were hitting the cymbals....I just wanted them to move out of my pictures. Blah. Then Jason was shaking hands with the people up front but when he got to Anna he was like "oh hey!" and patted her shoulder and then saw me and patted my head.
There were a lot of people who stuck aroung after the show but we got to talk to the guy from The Secret Machines and then I got Neil, Jason, Kevin and Conrad to sign Ali's CD (she didn't know I took, I'm such a cool sister;). We talked to the boys some more and they all thought it was so awesome that we drove 5 hours to see them, I think we got some major cool points.
This one obnoxious drunk woman came up to Neil when we were talking to him and said "Who are you with?" and he said, "Um, Tr Tr Trail of Dead...?" and she was like "OH MY GOD, come sign this! Where is Conrad!?!??!?!" Oh man, she needed to go away. Jason then walked by and said, "Do you girls want to come backstage and drink some beer with us?" Ok, this is where I had a mild heart attack. Backstage was definitely cool. We saw the R2D2 thingy (Ok, I am almost 99% sure thats the wrong name....) they stole that is a cooler, it was neat. And Jason got me a Corona and opened it with a water bottle *sigh*. AND he was telling me how they're going to be touring with Queens of the Stone Age and I said that if Dave Grohl is drumming he has to remember me and introduce me and he was like "Haha OK" AHHHH!!!!! And on their week off they're playing on Letterman, yayay! I asked if I could go, teehee. And he said "Should we do Carson Daly? Or should we just fuck him?" Hmmm...Carson's lame. Jason also talked me into getting another beer, I said "But I have to drive home" and he said "You'll sober up by 12" and I said "But what if I get kicked out of here?" and he said "You won't...You're with us" *Note: This is when I had my second mild heart attack* So he got me another Corona=) Then they all decided to go to a bar and wanted us to go and we said we had to get going probably and they were trying to talk us into it. I think if Jason had asked us for a ride we would have gone but Anna stepped as the responsible one and thought we should get going since it was late and we had to drive 5 hours. It was the right decision but I also wish we would have stayed. We did get a hug from sweaty Jason though. Muhaha!
Then, we were sad...and left...and drove 5 hours...and I got home at 4:30AM.

It ranked on one of my Top Ten Nights Ever.....(3 of the others being when I saw Trail of Dead in Baltimore, DC, and Philly, hehehehe).

Oh now I wish I was back there...BUT show at my house on July 4th! YAYAYAY!

I am going to monster blog about last nite's events once i feel like it but for now here is this:
I'm bored. Ali's concert is tonite at 7..should be good, she has a solo and I am going to show off my Carnegie Hall stagebill to my 6th grade clarinet teacher (who just so happens to be the orchestra teacher, funny how these things work out). Then I have agreed to drive Ali and her friend Molly to a party at Katy's house. Then I'd like to go to WalMart to get some photo albums but I'm not sure about that yet. I need to also drop off my film (Edenpark! TRAIL OF DEAD!!!!!) so that might help sway my decision to go there. Does anything good come on tv tonite? If I attack this massive photo project I'm gonna need some good tv. Tomorrow is nothing, Ali works at the pool so I will probably go up there and work on swim team stuff and see if I remember how to swim- how embarassing if the swim team COACH couldn't swim, haha. Mousetrap tomorrow nite, I'm very excited and I hope *everyone* is there. Woohoo! I told Jason last nite to schedule the tour so they can go to it one time, oh baby. Man, my wrists are hurting a lot today, I thikn its from driving 10 hours yesterday. I need to rest them up for the monster blog later.

I forgot to get more allergy pills, not good. I have to work 2:30-7:00 and then tonite is our first swim practice. I hope it goes ok....I'm going to make Ali help, hehe. The first nite is always super stressful because everyone's really hyper and then there are all the new kids who can't do anything. hehe.
Baltimore was tons of fun, here's a review:
FRIDAY: Well, First of all I was up at 6AM to go sub all day at TWO schools then I worked at the pool from 3 til 7...It took me awhile to get out of town and I got to Van's at about 9 to pick her up and we got to Balty at about 10:30 or so? We went to Fell's Point that nite which is this area in Baltimore, for those who don't know, that has tons of bars and stuff. It's a really cool place bc it get's realyl crowded at nite which lots of people, and not just snobby Loyola type girls, all sorts of peeps. We hit up the Greene Turtle which has always been fond in my heart bc I went to the one in Ocean City with my mom last year:). At first I wasn't sure about the place bc it was really bright in there and everyone was just really drunk. But thanks to me (haha) we talked to a few people and Jules and I even danced with these two guys....HAHA. Van did a shot of Jager (sp?) and then she was gone but she had enough sense to say no to the 23 year old virgin who was celebrating his birthday...I did beat him in my lil' own chugging contest though. Poor guy. OH and there was this one girl there who was SO drunk she could barely stand up and she'd fall on anyone who would walk by. Well, one time she went to lean on someone and it didn't work out and she fell FLAT HER ON FACE! It was funny only bc you knew it didnt' hurt bc she was so wasted. We also got invitations to go to the "Nudie Bar" but we passed on that offer and instead headed back to our hotel bc we all had to get up early the next day.
SATURDAY: Got up early to get Julianne to her interview by 11. Then Vanessa and I got Wawa (mm) and then went back to Baltimore and just drove around for awhile which proved to be sort of disconcerting especially when we drove up this one street that had tons of people shoppping and walking IN THE STREET and we could barely get through, so weird. Then we went back to Crofton and hung out on a nearby school's playground until it was time for Jules to get back. Did I mention it was hot as a mofo!? OMG, I thought I was going to die. Ok, then we got our Orioles tickets, went back and rested/changed and at about 5 or so we head down to the Inner Harbor for some food. We ate at the River City Brewing Company (is that right? Or did I just make that up?) It was good, but the service was sorta sucky. We did talk to this father and son from Philly, ha. At 7 we were at the Orioles game which was a ton of fun-especially after the annoying people next to Vanessa left. I definitely called the game, I knew they'd win-People shouldnt give up on teams so quick! But yeah, Jay Gibbons is my new favorite Baseball player now. Not even the incredible stretching machine Ichiro Suzuki can beat Gibbons! After the game we went back to Fell's Point but were too tired to actually go in anywhere. So instead I went up to these firemen who were parked there and eventually Van and Jules came over and we chatted witht them for awhile. They were really nice. A bunch of drunk girls kept coming over though, ew. Two of them flashed their asses to them, so weird. Then we went back to the hotel because once again, we had to get up early the next day.
SUNDAY: We were out of Baltimore by 8:45AM...psycho. Julianne headed off to church with her potential employer and we actually had to have a "real" goodbye this time which was sad. But maybe she'll be back in the area sooner than we think. MUHAHA. But even if not, remind me to get a passport, haha, just let me know. =)
But now it's time for me to go pick up PICTURES! yYAYAYAY!
