I'm really annoyed right now and let me explain why: You know when you're in class and you have a stupid question? Well, first you ask somebody else (duh) and then if you have to you ask the teacher. But you don't say "I'm stupid and didn't read the lab can you explain this to me?" No no, You word it so you don't sound like an idiot, am I right? Oh I am! SO in BioTech Lab today we were doing this crap with DNA and see, we're supposed to make Flow Charts of the procedure to follow during lab so that I guess we have it in our own words to follow and it shows we read the lab. Well, I DID THAT and my lab partner did not! (And my TA warned us to always have it or she'd give us a quiz)...Ok, so...for this one part in the lab they give the recipe for this mixture and then they give it in the protocol. So we were following along and put everything in based on the recipe and there was one part we got confused on bc later in the protocol they tell you its mixed together or something. So my lab partner asks the other groups but she can't ask a normal question, she sort of throws out information that is sort of about what we're doing but the other groups are like "what".I usually just keep my head down so they don't associate us together although that's hard since we're friggin lab PARTNERS! Ok, so after figuring that one part out we weren't sure about when to put the "stop mixture" in but while I was looking at my flow chart and seeing that we had to wait til after the 30 minute incubation period she was raising her hand to ask my TA! AHHHH, So the TA comes over and I practically answer her bc i know what we're doing but whatever...and THEN my TA is like, "Do you guys read over the lab before you come to class?" and "Do you have flow charts?" and while I'm saying yes my partner is like no, so I don't know if she realizes I did the stupid work and then she says she's giving us all a quiz next week because she "warned us". Now, I dont care if we have a quiz bc I have the stupid flow charts and it will be an easy 100 but I don't want her thinking I'm slacking. I'm quite annoyed, if you couldn't tell already, and thank goodness after next week we switch partners. I'd rather work alone.
One good thing about lab: My TA got an interview for Vet School today and it was really cute how excited she was and some of her research friend's brought her wine and flowers. It was sweet. However, she didn't open and share the wine=/ Bust;)
