I'm about 98.9% sure I'm a believer in "everything happens for a reason" and tonite helped up it a tenth of a percentage point. I was planning on going to see The Emergency (or The E as I have dubbed them) and seeing Mandy and Mike Roth there but at the last minute I got sort of apprehensive about going alone and also I feel I should save my money as much as I can...Especially for Count Me Out on Saturday *sniff*. ANYWAY, I was feeling super lame about my decision and even had a mild few moments of a bunch of things you don't care about...but it turns out that Mandy and Co. only stayed for The E because poor Mike Roth is ill...Wait, I assume its The Roth, I think they call Michael, Michael...It doesn't matter. What matters is that if I had gone I would have either spent money for one band or I would have had to stay by myself. But going with this theory of mine I have minor doubts when I apply it to other things. For details, inquire within.
Well, I said I had a lot to say about the Fred show but now that I see how long this blog is already I think I'll do the condensed version, in list for of course:
~Corn on Macabre, Crestfallen, Majority Rule and Strike Anywhere totally rocked my socks. the 2 other bands were decent but added to the amount of time I was standing around and accumulating pain in my shoulder.
~I met a friend of Mike/Aaron's and via her I got to talk to Garth which was exciting. Now is one of those times when I wonder who reads this blog. Oh well, It's no secret I really like Strike Anywhere and love Count Me Out.
~Speaking of which, CMO has one of their last shows this Saturday and I am SO there. I think i saw that it's an early show which works wonderfully since Anna's party is that nite as well and her parties are super cool!
~Saw Mike there, who I hadn't talked to for a couple of months, he likes to think it was "mutually being bad friends" but I'd prefer to put the fault on him...Just kidding, Mike, I don't think you read this, but if you do you better effing comment.
~I was so looking forward to getting Chipotle on my journey thru Fredericksburg and despite 2 chances I never got it!!!! So unfulfilling=/ But I got a heads up on a possibly RVA fill in. I'll let you know.
~Aaron tried to hug me when he was sweaty, perhaps he didn't get the notice about me not liking sweaty mosh boys...or boy feet for that matter. Do you ever read this? If so, you better comment too, effhead.
~I saw a lot of people I miss from the "good ol' days": Andy Gale, Amelia, Garrett, John Paxton (even though I don't really even know him...), Kristen, Mike Roth, Mandy...of course those guys....And lots of other people I love to see even though I don't really know them;)
That's all, sorry so long.
XO,
scarls
